New e-book

The status of glass-ionomers as a restorative material continues to improve along with their reputation for longevity. They have now been shown to be moderately bioactive, so they have a very important role to play in remineralizing tooth structure & helping to heal carious lesions.

Dr Bhalajhi Sundaresa Iyyer & Dr Seema Iyyer Bhalajhi from the Ace Dental Centre in Auckland, NZ created and host Animated tooth.com, a dental animation site that offers over 100 free animations in the areas of endodontics, prosthodontics. orthodontics, periodontics, oral surgery, dental emergencies, and pediatric dentistry. The site is aimed at patients and contains a few inaccuracies but it is worth a look.

New look Medline with new features

Ovid is going to switch to the new interface by the end of June 2010. Cushing/Whitney Medical Library at Yale University have just released a New features of OvidSP video tutorial. It runs for about 14 minutes and gives a good overview of the features in the latest release. Well worth taking a look at.
