Pulling Teeth - Professors Schwartz and Zoellner appear on SBS Insight

Tuesday May 20, 2008 - The Dean of Dentistry, Professor Eli Schwartz and Associate Professor Hans Zoellner appeared on the SBS Insight program hosted by Jennie Brockie to discuss the state of dental care in Australia - issues covered included DIY dentistry, Australians going overseas to get dental work done more affordably, as well as taking out loans to cover the costs of dentistry. Those are some of the measures that some Australians are taking to fix their teeth.

Scopus Training: Westmead Hospital Thursday 29th of May 12:00-2:00

Scopus is a large multidisciplinary database covering published material in the humanities and sciences. It also provides citation analysis of authors and subject areas.

The following session is available for you to attend:

Thursday 29 May, 12.00 pm - 2.00 pm - a "show and tell" walk-through demonstration of Scopus features and functionality at Westmead Hospital (Venue: Lecture theatre 1)

The Scopus Session will focus on how to use Scopus effectively by highlighting its features and functionality, being:

  • Coverage and Content
  • Personal Profile Set-up
  • Search Functionality - Search forms, Search syntax, Refine results, Search History, Search results
  • Navigation including Links - Cited By, Webcites, Patentcites, Related Documents, My List, Sources
  • Managing Searches - Saved searches, Saved lists, E-mail alerts
  • Bibliometric Tools - Author Identifier including My Authors, Citation Tracker
